Three years ago a separation and eventual divorce rocked my world and changed by perspective on God and Christianity. I have since found tremendous peace and comfort in learning about God, his Son Jesus and the powers of the Holy Spirit. A lot of friends who knew me before have noticed a transformation in me. Still others ask me “why did you become such a strong Christian? What’s that all about?” Sometimes I find the question difficult to answer when my friend doesn’t understand God, and when she’s a little afraid she’s losing me. I’m going to be purposeful in answering that question through my life experiences. God has been incredibly gracious and good to my boys and I. I’ve enjoyed adventure and transformation beyond my wildest dreams. I truly hope to convey that my circumstances are no different from yours. I am no more deserving of God’s blessings than you are. I’ve learned to be open to every teaching moment and possibility laid out before me.

I’m going through a divorce right now.
I could do with some encouragement.

    1. Hi Maureen, I’m so sorry you are going through this very difficult time. Jesus offers the best words of encouragement. I spend every morning reading from the pages of the one who loves me most. Please know you aren’t alone and you are loved by a might God who calls you his daughter.
      God bless!

Do you think reconciliation after divorce is possible…can someone forgive someone after a troubled marriage and cheating?

  4. Maureen says:

Humanly speaking, it’s impossible! But there’s nothing impossible for God to do. It can only take God and a lot of work from both parties to make it work.
In my case, I was badly hurt both physically and mentally, which also has a trickle effect on my 2 young children. The youngest being one.
I can get through this with God’s help.
